About us

Our Story

Valley Leisure Ltd is a charitable trust with deep roots in the local community. For more than 30 years, we’ve been working to improve people’s quality of life through recreation, activity and wellbeing.

For three decades we proudly managed leisure facilities on behalf of Test Valley Borough Council. In 2017, our journey evolved. We stepped away from operating the council’s leisure contract and began creating our own community-focused spaces. That year, we opened Riverside Bowl in Andover and soon after launched the I Can Therapy Centre – both designed to bring people together, get people moving, and support better health for all.

With these new ventures came a renewed mission: move more, feel better. Everything we do is about helping people improve physical health, mental wellbeing and social connection, in welcoming places where everyone feels supported.

Riverside Activity Zone

In 2025, Riverside Bowl grew into Riverside Activity Zone – the charity’s main source of income generation and a vibrant family leisure destination in the heart of Andover.

With two floors of entertainment, Riverside Activity Zone is the go-to place for families and friends to enjoy time together. From ten-pin bowling to indoor glo-golf, augmented reality darts to laser tag, it’s fun on every level – and every visit helps support our charitable mission.

I Can Move More

Also in 2025, we launched our new five-year strategy: I Can Move More. This ambitious plan places active ageing at the centre of our work, positioning us as a leading provider of community-based active ageing services across the South of England.

Through I Can Move More, we are building on the success of the I Can Therapy Centre and expanding into new programmes that help people stay active, stay social and live well – no matter their age, ability or confidence level.

Our Charity

Valley Leisure Ltd. is guided by a committed board of trustees who bring experience from across business, health, social care, community and charitable sectors. Day-to-day operations are led by our Chief Executive Officer, supported by a passionate team including our Head of Active Ageing, Marketing Manager and Centre Managers for Riverside Activity Zone and I Can Therapy Centre.

Behind the scenes, two teams of dedicated professionals deliver our promise: to help people move more and feel better.
